- Jim Varsolone, Jam Magazine. Gigi DeNisco is regarded as one of South Florida's best acoustic rock performers. Voted "BEST FEMALE ROCK VOCALIST" in Miami NewTimes. She has entertained audiences for twelve years, making her living on the solo-duo cover circuit. Born and raised in Miami Florida, Gigi earned an Associate Degree in music from Miami Dade Community College. She is classically trained on Piano and has played the guitar since childhood. Gigi DeNisco is a acoustic rock artist, singer, song writer, excellent live performer, and the best "chick that picks" in South Florida. The Bee Gee's generously let her use their studio, called Middle Ear, on Miami Beach, to record. She enjoys working with their guitarist Alan Kendall and their bassist George "Chocolate" Perry. Gigi is a regular at a variety of South Florida clubs and the Florida Keys. With her band, she had the pleasure of opening for Willie Nelson in the Florida Keys, before a receptive crowd of more than eight thousand people. She also had the pleasure of opening for Albert King at Miami's popular Tobacco Road. On the 4th of July, Gigi was elected to open for Boz Scaggs and Stevie Nicks at the Coral Sky Amphitheater and recently the original Denisco Band was the performing act for the Toyota Dan Marino celebrity invitation cocktail party. |
