VETERAN PERFORMER
Ginny has been singing since age three. A North Carolinian from the town of Kenly, she is a talented singer and
composer of country and gospel music. Making appearances on stage and radio began at age 11. Ginny presently has
her own radio and TV programs. The "Ginny Wicker Home Folks Show" airs weekly on Selma, NC's WBZB Radio and Community Television, city of Raleigh, NC CTV-10. These programs feature her own original songs and well-known country and gospel music. She also performs regularly on request for civic, church and other community functions. At the North Carolina State Fair, she performs in the Folk Festival and was awarded the Bascom Lamar Lunsford trophy. Ginny has performed in Nashville, TN at the Nashville Palace, Songwriters' Showcase and at the Nashville American Legion Posts. In her home town, she has taken an active role in community festivals and promotions
including composing two locally significant songs: "The Farm Life Tobacco Museum" and "Welcome to Friendly
Kenly". Her talent is not restricted to music only, having impressed audiences with several key roles in community
theater performances and having received a cameo nomination. In addition, she has appeared as an extra in several movies. Ginny's own music has been recorded on record, cassette and CD. Her first recordings were LP albums entitled "The Two Sides of Ginny" and "Ginny Wicker Sings From Nashville, TN." Recently, she traveled to Nashville to record two new albums, "Ginny Wicker" and "Ginny Wicker The Purple Song Book". The first is a collection of her own favorite country songs, while the latter combines the sounds of country with and inspiring gospel message. In her own words, "My country music comes from my imagination, but the gospel songs, well those are real life experiences."

During recording sessions in Nashville, TN, Ginny's talents were recognized by other artists and production professionals. Ginny Wicker recorded twenty-two of her original songs in two five-hour sessions at County Q. Productions in Nashville, TN. Her philosophy as expressed in her theme song "Keep On Keeping On"
was evident to the accompanying musicians as she exemplified her love and talent for music. "It was a
