British Festivals Want American Performers

I have been approached by people looking for performers for a Festival in mid July (Southern England) and also for  another at the end of August (South West, England.) These would be excellent gigs - for people already in the UK - to consider adding to their tour schedule.

If you are in the UK during that time and would be interested in either gig, please contact me with your relevant information and I will be happy to connect you to the promoters concerned.

All good wishes, Dee

Comments About Past Star Searches

"I got a record deal! I made several important business contacts. I learned a lot from your seminars. I was on stage everyday. I had four days of wall to wall fun and excitement. Thank you for organizing a wonderful event." Billy Smythe, Canada

"I've never seen so much great new talent, in one place. Our budget only allowed us to sign one new act to a recording contract. We signed Diane Foxx. It was a tough decision."
Jason Hawkins, Foxfire Records, Nashville

"I've always enjoyed the festivals. You have so many fine new singers and songwriters."
Colonel Buster Doss, Stardust Records, Tennessee

"We've attended more than one of your fabulous talent searches. We'll be there again, this year. " Rein Wortelboer (DJ) and Els Wortelboer (radio promoter), The Netherlands, Europe

Elvis' Family Tree Traced To Scotland

According to UPI, research has traced Elvis Presley's family roots to Lonmay, Scotland.
It is a very small town and hopes its ties to the music legend will boost tourism.

Scottish author Allan Morrison found evidence in parish records that Presley's great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather was married in Lonmay, in 1713.
"I started looking into Elvis's past when I heard rumors of
him coming from Scotland," said Morrison, who wrote "The
Presley Prophecy."

"I was able to trace his family tree and when it got to
Lonmay, it was like striking gold."

The family tree also shows a son from that 1713 marriage,
Andrew Presley, became a blacksmith and was the first Presley
to leave Scotland for America.

Lonmay, is a farm community so small it frequently is left off maps.
Residents hope the village will become a tourist stop for devoted
Presley fans.

"The news could help the area enormously ...," said John Wood.
He operates the only business in Lonmay. It is a bed and breakfast accommodation.

The charity is named after Allison Webb. She was the daughter of Keith's friend
and original band member, Scott Webb. She died in 2003, one month before her third
birthday. She had a form of kidney cancer.

"This is a special charity to me," Keith said. "I saw firsthand how a child's cancer diagnosis can devastate a family. The proceeds of this tournament will be used to help these special kids."
