RealAudio
I was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1943. I have six children, their names are Marcus E. Anderson, William A. Anderson, Anthony L. Anderson, Lillie M. Browning, Agnes E. Anderson, and Janet M. Dincan. I came from a family of thirteen siblings. My mother's name is Lillie M. Roe and my father's name is Joseph Austin Roe. My father was also a very good poet. I have written songs such as "Boogie-ing Baby," "Jesus," "Wings Of A Prayer," "Mommy Where's My Daddy," "Littlest Angel," "Crucufied," and "The Woman." I have written poetry since I was seven years old. I was inspired to write "Boogie-ing Baby" by my grand-daughter Shaina M. Duncan. My greatest inspiration comes from Jesus. I write from the heart. I have received a "Merit Award" from ATWP and other "Golden Poet" awards. I don't want to be rich, I just want the necessities in life, and to be able to help others.
