When Jesus Walked On The Water
When people talk about the miracles around us,
And the ones to come in future days,
That's when I recall the greatest miracle of all,
When Jesus walked on the waves.
No one has followed in the foot prints of this man from Galilee,
Or surpassed the wonderous deeds that he has done.
When he turned the sticks and stones to bread and fishes,
And rolled back the angry seas and brought salavation on the
cross for everyone.
He healed the sick and crippled and he caused the blind to see,
And if they were rich or poor it didn't matter,
No there will never be a bigger miracle to me
Than when Jesus walked on the water.
He begged God to forgive them when they nailed him to the cross,
Saying "Father they know not what they do."
There will never be a greater miracle to me,
Than when Jesus died for I and you.
When I reach the river Jorden he will be waiting there for me.
He will take my hand and lead me over.
What a great day that will be when at last the face I see.
Of the man who walked on the water.
Just Your Woman
When our time together is over, you go back where you belong,
And I am left here thinking about you and knowing I've done wrong.
She is your wife, I'm just your woman, and I know it isn't right.
Don't make love to her tomorrow after holding me tonight.
I didn't want a borrowed love, I wanted one all my own.
But when I was sad and lonely, you are the one who came along.
I said it didn't matter. I would never fall.
And a borrowed love was better than to have no love at all.
So buy her furs and diamonds, a million other things,
What ever makes her happy, you know I won't complain.
She is your wife, I'm just your woman, and that gives her all the rights.
Please don't make love to her tomorrow, after holding me me tonight.
I dont need a mansion with a crystal chandlier.
I'd be happy any place as long as you were there.
Just knowing you were staying would make everything alright.
I wouldnt worry about tomorrow, while you were holding me tonight.
Borrowed love and stolen kisses and I knew right from the start,
The only thing they would get me would be a broken heart.
If you could have me you wouldn't want me. I wouldn't fit into your life.
But you will always find me waiting for you when we can steal another night.
I Only Came To Borrow
If you ever learn he has cheated, please believe me when I say
I never meant to tear your world apart.
I just borrowed him for the evening, and send him on his way.
It was just his body that I wanted not his heart.
I didn't need permission for the kisses that we shared.
He offered to share them on his own.
He will be back where he belongs tomorrow,
Just a little worse for wear,
From a girl who has spent to many nights alone.
He might even be better for having shared my love.
And guilt may cause him to never cheat again.
He didn't speak of love to me his heart belongs to you.
It was just his body that was guilty of the sin.
Now when he makes love to you, hold him close and warm,
Show him that your love is true and real.
And I'll think of him with pleasure as I go on my way.
I only came to borrow, not to steal.
When I take another's lover, I know it isn't right,
There is no future in a love that isn't real.
They can have him back tomorrow,
I just want him for tonight,
I only came to borrow, not to steal.
