S.E.(Susan) Clark was born in May, 1966 at Mendota, Illinois, and lived in Pleasonton, California, until 1978, and then moved to Tucson, Arizona. After graduating from Sabino High School in 1985, she attended Pima Community College. S.E. Clark has been continuously publishing with different publications and anthologies since 1991:

She has received numerous awards. She has been a poetry columnist with the Good News Magazine in Tucson since 1994, and is the founder and editor of "The Roaring Tide" poetry column. Lyrics she has written have been made into recorded works by Chapel, Tin Pan Alley, and Ambassador Charlie Ray. Her lyric writing has received much recognition for contributing to songs like Tom Grant's rendition of "This Shared Dream" (above). She has received many award nominations from the King Eagle awards of Nashville in a very short time.

S.E. Clark teaches poetry and lyric writing periodically at the Tucson Open University and conducts private poetry and lyric writing classes based on her program, "Awareness Through Writing". She has also been a guest speaker at The Calvary Chapel's Christian Writers Fellowship, as well as a guest teacher at the Young Life Christian Learning Center.
