My full name is Ruth Helen Jackson Dawson. I was born to Mary Anna and Charlie Frank Jackson in Hickman, Kentucky, in 1945. I attended Dunbar High School in Mayfield, Kentucky. I am married with children. I have been writing songs for years, but began my "serious" songwriting in 1987. I've written about 100 songs. I love all music but Coutry is my favorite. I believe that music is a gift from God, given to us so that we may feel the real spirit of our souls.
